A consistent performer in domestic cricket, Ian Bradshaw had to wait until the age of 29 for his talents to be recognised by the West Indies selectors.

He produced a tidy performance with the ball against South Africa A in Paarl, taking 1-39 from 10 overs, and was unlucky not to be given a chance in the one-day series which followed.

Helping Barbados win the Carib Beer Cup provided compensation and he picked up 19 wickets in the four games he played, including three in each innings in last month's final against Jamaica.

He has an overall first-class record of 112 wickets at a cost of only 24 runs each and is also a useful lower order batsman, with a highest score of 109 not out to his credit.
