A NEW chapter would be added in the history of the City with the formal inauguration of the seventh Indian Institute of Management on its new campus at Pigdamber at the hands of Minister of Human Resource Development Arjun Singh tomorrow. The function will be presided over by Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani.

IIM-I director Dr S P Parashar said that IIM-Indore was established 10 years ago, in 1996, and was transferred two years back to this new campus, which was being expanded to this date. From being the youngest member of the IIM family, IIM-I had come into its own and become a name to reckon with in the corporate and academic world.

The new campus at Pigdamber, Rau, is spread over an area of 193 acres, with state-of-the-art facilities, excellent IT infrastructure, faculty residences, a well-equipped library, a newly set-up modern auditorium - not to mention its picturesque views.

The institute would publish ‘10 years of IIM Indore’ and gift every faculty member with a special memento to celebrate the occasion.
