IM man Hakim sent to custody for 10 days

A city court on Monday remanded suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist Mohammed Hakim to 10 days in police custody.

A city court on Monday remanded suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist Mohammed Hakim to 10 days in police custody.

The alleged terrorist, who is an accused in the Delhi serial blasts, was produced after he was arrested in Lucknow on January 2.

The police have alleged that Hakim, who was pursuing a course in biotechnology from a private institute in Lucknow, was part of the conspiracy of Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Delhi serial bombings.

Hakim was produced before Metropolitan Magistrate Gaurav Rao who sent him to custodial interrogation till January 15.

The police said Hakim had supplied splinters and ball bearings used in making bombs, and he was identified by five alleged IM terrorists lodged in a Delhi jail.
