Imposter TTE caught, sent to jail

THE TRAIN incharge of Gorakhnath Express, with the support of the TTE of the sleeper coach, caught an imposter redhanded near Jagatbela station when he was collecting money from the passengers by posing himself as a TTE. The accused was sent to jail while one of his accomplices managed to escape from the running train.

According to reports, 5008 Down Gorakhnath Express was coming from Lucknow to Gorakhpur. As the train reached Basti railway station, two youths entered in sleeper class and one of them asked the passengers to show their tickets, posing as the TTE.

Meanwhile, a few of the passengers recognized that he was not the same TTE who had checked the compartment between Lucknow and Barabanki. Though the fake TTE wore the gown of the TTE, the passenger informed the railway staff about harassment of the passengers. They said from Basti, the fake TTE had collected money from the passengers travelling in the general compartment.

The passengers also informed TT Brijesh Kumar Singh regarding their harassment and Brijesh Singh informed train incharge GB Bhatt. They caught the fake TTE red handed. A case was lodged against him under Section 402 of the IPC.
