Imrana to be cross-examined on Monday

The cross-examination of Imrana would be held in the district and sessions court on Monday.

The cross-examination of Imrana, who was allegedly raped by her father-in-law at a village near Muzaffarnagar, would be held in the district and sessions court on Monday.

Earlier on January 10, the district and sessions judge, Rajmuni Chouhan, adjourned the case till January 16 when Imrana fell ill in witness box during cross-examination by the defence counsel in the presence of accused Ali Mohammad.

The Imrana case grabbed headlines after a local community panchayat asked the woman, a mother of five, to consider her husband as her son, declaring their marriage null and void.
