The party state executive, which met here today, passed a unanimous resolution to this effect. The resolution would now be forwarded to the Prime Minister.

The CPI State executive also decided to launch a campaign in tribal areas of the State to counter alleged communal propaganda of the RSS and allied groups.

Party’s State secretary Mahendra Vajpayee presented a report in the meeting highlighting activities of the party and its allied outfits in the past quarter.

Expressing concern over alleged distribution of ‘communal’ literature by the RSS and its allied outfits in the tribal areas, the CPI State executive unanimously decided to launch a campaign to promote scientific attitude among the tribals.
Tributes were paid to party leader Anil Biswas, who had passed away yesterday, and persons killed in natural calamities in the recent past.

CPI general secretary A B Bardhan, who was supposed to attend the meeting, could not make it to Bhopal as he left for Kokata instead following death of party’s politburo member Anil Biswas. Krishna Modi presided over the meeting in his absence.

The CPI State council meeting will take place at party’s State headquarters Shakir Sadan.
