India on brink of victory
Pathan grabbed his first 10-wicket haul after Sachin cracked 248. Scorecard
Sachin Tendulkar cracked a career-best 248 not out and Irfan Pathan grabbed his maiden 10-wicket haul, taking India to the threshold of an innings victory in the first Test against Bangladesh on Sunday.

Tendulkar, who had equalled Sunil Gavaskar's world record 34 Test centuries on Saturday, handed India a mammoth 342-run first innings lead by helping them to 526.
Pathan then ripped out the heart of the Bangladesh reply with a five-wicket burst to leave them struggling on 170 for eight at close of the third day's play, still 172 behind.
The 20-year-old had figures of five for 31 on a lively wicket, adding to his Test-best five for 45 in the first innings.
Opener Nafis Iqbal was the only batsman to put up any real resistance, scoring 54 for his first Test half-century. Manjural Islam Rana added a belligerent unbeaten 50.
More records tumbled earlier in the day as Tendulkar shared in a 133-run stand with last-man Zaheer Khan, who hit a career-best 75.
