India opened their account in the 11th South Asian Games with a gold in cycling with the women quartet of Rameshwari Devi, Suchitra Devi Konsam, Mahidha Mohan and V Rejani finishing first in the 30-km road team trial at BKSP in Khulna.

Pakistan won silver while Sri Lanka bagged the bronze medal.

The Indian women's team dominated the race from the very beginning and clocked 44 minutes 22.15 seconds to win the first gold of the Games.

Pakistani quartet of Ayesha Amin, Misbah Mushta Ali, Rahila Banu and Sidra Sadaf were way behind the Indians, clocking 47:04.06s.

Sri Lankan quartet of Lasanthi Krishna, Nilaka Shyamal, Nirushani Perera and Pushpo Rani finished third with a timing of 47:07.08s.
