India under-18 team began their campaign with a 3-1 creditable win against Singapore in the four Nation hockey tournament in Singapore on Thursday.
According to sources in Chennai, India rode on Vikramjit Singh's hat-trick off two penalty corners and a penalty stroke.
India led by two goals at half time and scored another in the second session.
