He was addressing a book release function here organised by the Bhartiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti (Kashi Region) this afternoon.
Sudarshan charged the British with disseminating misinformation about Indian history to suppress awareness among the Indians. He said there was urgent need for disseminating real history of the country.
Sudarshan, who arrived in Varanasi to participate in the two-day Dharma Sanskrit Sangam, claimed that people had started identifying ‘our rich past’. He said India is a country of religion and the cultural ‘vat-vriksha’ of India is immortal.
The Sarsanghchalak added there was lack of sense of duty among people in India. He stressed the need to disseminate the rich history of India among the students so that they could make a better future. He said there was science, philosophy and all other subjects in Vedas. He added the Vedas were as old as the existence of human being on earth. Noted scholar Dr. Bhanu Shanker Mehta and general secretary of Mahabodhi Society of India, K. Siri Sumedh Thero were the guests of honour on the occasion.
Sudarshan also released three latest publications of Bhartiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti titled Kashi Ka Shaikshik Itihas, Kashi Ki Jeevan Shaili and Kashi Ka Aitihasik Bhugol Evam Rajnaitik Itihas.
