Infant, man die in two mishaps

TWO PERSONS including an infant and a man died in separate accidents in the intervening night between Wednesday and Thursday. In the first incident, a couple was seriously injured while their infant son succumbed to injuries in the accident.

TWO PERSONS including an infant and a man died in separate accidents in the intervening night between Wednesday and Thursday. In the first incident, a couple was seriously injured while their infant son succumbed to injuries in the accident.

Police said Jagdish Arora, 34, resident of Tulsi Nagar, was returning home after meeting his relatives from the Arjun Nagar on Wednesday night when a truck CPO-7693 hit the two-wheeler from behind.

The child, Ashwin, was grievously injured and rushed to a private hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. The couple—Jagdish and Manisha, also received serious injuries and is undergoing treatment. Truck driver, Ghanshyam, was caught and beaten up by residents but he managed to flee.

The Aishbagh police have registered a case of negligent driving leading to death against him. In another incident, a man was hit to death near Samardha under the Misrod police station. Shyam Singh, 35, a private security guard, was returning home after midnight on his cycle when an unidentified vehicle hit him. He was found dead on the roadside.
