The probe launched by the Indian Olympic Association into the shocking dope scandal involving two women weightlifters in the Athens Olympics Games is almost complete.

"We may need 2-3 days to wrap it up. Almost all the people involved in it have been called for the inquiry by the commission appointed to go into it," IOA President Suresh Kalmadi told reporters here last night on the sidelines of the Mumbai Marathon press conference.
Asked what has come out of the probe so far, Kalmadi - who was in Athens throughout the Games - pleaded ignorance. "I am not part of the commission. It is headed by KP Singh Deo," he said.
Women lifters Pratima Kumari (63kg) and Sanamacha Chanu (53kg) tested positive for banned substances at Athens and earned the dubious distinction of being the first two Indian competitors to be thrown out for doping in Olympic history.
