A communiqué to all district authorities, which is in possession of the Hindustan Times, says that militants from Muzzafarabad are planning an attack on Modi using a remote-controlled explosive device during his election campaign.

Source in the intelligence bureau said one Shahid alias Bilal, a key player in other bomb blasts in India as well, has been coordinating the attack with the assistance of one Rasool Parti. Parti is an accused in the murder of former Gujarat home minster Haren Pandya.

Additional director general of police (intelligence) PP Pande said: “There are various inputs that have come in, and Modi’s security is subjected to constant review.”
