The Capital Development Authority's (CDAs), which gets more than Rs 20 million every year for repairing the Parliament House, has failed to do the required maintenance in the building, reports the Daily Times.

Instead of repairing the roof, the CDA staff has placed buckets under the trickling roof to collect the rainwater, the paper says.

After water was noticed trickling down inside the House, NA Speaker Chaudhary Amir Hussain, and NA House Committee Chairman Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob, reportedly expressed their resentment over the CDAs failure to stop the water trickling from the roof.

Besides the NA chamber, federal ministers' chambers, lobbies, carpets in the corridor, including the Speaker's chamber have also been affected due to leaks in roof.
