The DM has asked for proposal within seven days from Chief Town Planner JN Kaura for the maintenance and renovation of these two places. The decision was taken in a meeting held under the presidentship of the DM at his camp office here recently.
After conducting a surprise inspection of Khusrobagh on Sunday, the DM expressed great concern over the plight of such a historic place in the heart of city and directed. The DM also constituted a committee comprising of the Incharge Chief Garden Specialist Dr RK Tomar, Superintendant Government Gardens, Akhand Pratap Singh and Chief Town Planner, JN Kaura and asked them to prepare a proposal for the beautification of Khusrobagh and Minto Park within a week.
The DM also directed the officer representing the Archaeological Department to prepare a proposal for the beautification of the parks so that funds could be made available for the purpose.
Taking note of the menace of anti-social elements in the parks and non-availability of guides for tourists at Khusrobagh, the DM ordered CO Arvind Mishra to drive out such anti-social elements from the parks.
The DM also proposed to develop a pond on the Khusrobagh campus in the meeting.
Several officers including ADM RP Singh were present in the meeting.
