When Lopez sang Let’s get loud, in a shapely skirt that accentuated her up-and out, pouty butt, it caught the imagination of every red blooded male and the skirts became a rage. If the jiggle on the wiggle is a bit too much, this one gives you the shape that you dreamed of.

“Why just Jennifer Lopez?” asks fashion designer Rina Dhaka. “Every third women in India has a J Lo butt and if they can carry the skirt with the right attitude, they look more comely,” says Dhaka who loves sporting skirts she’s designed herself.

“Summer is the right time to wear skirts,” says Iqbal Singh Mallik of Nextt, who stores them at outlets in Greater Kailash 1, the DT Mall, City Centre Gurgaon and South Extension-part 1. “Most girls come to my store asking for J Lo skirts with frills in the front. What they are actually looking for are skirts that are slightly asymmetrical in cut and bright in colour. The colours they ask for are red, turquoise and black,” he adds.

“These skirts are a rage this season. And if you do have a shapely butt then why hide it under a hideously designed skirt,” says model Sonal Chauhan who has 16 such skirts in her wardrobe. “I prefer to wear the shorter ones at parties,” she adds.
