When the miscreant fired at police party. According to reports, inspector Belghat got a tip-off that some criminals had moved on motorcycles from Jiyanpur town of Azamgarh district to Gorakhpur. Along with a team of policemen, the inspector set out checking vehicles at Kamharia Ghat.

Meanwhile, Belghat SO spotted a motorcycle coming from the other side and stopped it, but the miscreants took a U-turn and took shelter in a hut.
The other miscreants manage to flee. On receiving information of the encounter, SP Azamgarh Navin Arora rushed to the spot and identified the dreaded criminal as Jagdhar Pasi.
