‘Injustice is being done to us. This is our protest against the BJP Government,’ said one of the protestors to ANI.
The agitating students sat on the roads near the campus even as police were deployed to control the situation.
Union ministers Arun Jaitley, Manohar Parrikar and Kiren Rijiju held a meeting at Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s residence to discuss the pro-reservation agitation of Jats in Haryana.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party leaders (BJP) Sanjeev Balyan, Om Prakash Dhankar, Anil Jain and Ram Lal also held a meeting at the party office.

Earlier, the army was called in to quell the ongoing Jat agitation in Haryana which took a violent turn on Friday. Three protesters were reportedly killed in the clashes. Around 150 trains, both inbound and outbound, have been cancelled.
The agitating members of the Jat community are demanding their inclusion in the OBC category and thereby reservation in government jobs.
