In a case of fratricide, a Seema Sashatra Bal (SSB) jawan opened fire at his colleagues, killing two of them and injuring as many at the Haryal camp in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Those killed have been identified as Narinder Singh and Bir Singh, both residents of Uttarakhand. Pavittar Nath of
Assam and Habib ul Islam of Meghalaya are those injured. The accused jawan has been identified as Vijay Kumar of Himachal Pardesh, who has been arrested after registration of a case at Kishtwar police station.
Sources said an altercation between the accused and one fo the victims led to the incident.
