The cooperation between SPICMACAY and RIKSCONSERTENE is devoted to the communication of music of high quality to the youth of both nations with hopes to learn from one another by taking part in respective national concert programmes, exchanging music and musicians and studying the philosophy behind each of these organisations. Three concerts of Hindustani Classical music have so far been arranged in Norway.

ABOUT JAZZCREATURE: Jazzcreature is unique as it comes from Jazz and Puppeteering, two different artistic expressions that developed from folk forms into art forms.

The character of puppet is described through appearance, movement and actions. The music as an additional element will then seek to strengthen the character or to comment on the puppet character, add aspects to it, and even give double messages to the audience.

The performance presents different puppets with their unique personality. The musicians involved in the concert include Espen Rud, one of the most experienced jazz percussionists in Norway, Tore Brunborg, a leading Norwegian saxophone player, Terje Gewelt, a renowned Bass player and Knut Alfsen, a renowned puppeteer heading the theatre group ‘Living Puppets’.
