“We are not taking (BJP president) Rajnath Singh’s statement on constructing the Ram Temple seriously. We will not pull out of the NDA over it, as it is a non-issue for us”, JD-U president Sharad Yadav told reporters here. Claiming that the JD-U was more concerned about the national agenda, Yadav said his party would honour the court’s decision on the Ayodhya issue.

Yadav said the JD-U will not forge an alliance with Mayawati’s BSP for the upcoming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh but was keen on joining hands with the Apna Dal.

He ruled out the possibility of forming a third front at the national level, saying the situation was not favourable for this.
