Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda- led JD(S) appeared to be keeping options open on a post-poll tie-up with either BJP or Congress in case of a hung verdict in Karanataka Assembly elections.

He said these are early trends and he would talk only after a clear picture emerges in the afternoon. "We don't want to shake hands with the BJP or Congress. Even on Saturday they had said that the JD(S) is untouchable. Let us see," former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said in his initial reaction.

Kumaraswamy blamed the media for creating a campaign against his party saying it was against them from the beginning.
