JE, patwari held taking bribe

State vigilance bureau on Thursday arrested two officials for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000. An official spokesman said Ashok Kumar Khatri, junior engineer, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Tigoan in Faridabad district was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 10,000 from Mahesh Kumar Yadav of Chandawali village of the same district in lieu of new electricity connection.

An official spokesman said Ashok Kumar Khatri, junior engineer, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, Tigoan in Faridabad district was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 10,000 from Mahesh Kumar Yadav of Chandawali village of the same district in lieu of new electricity connection.

He said Rajender Kumar, patwari, Hansi in Hisar district was also caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from Rajesh Kumar of Kulana area of the same district in lieu of the registration of intqual of his plot.

He said that cases had been registered against both of them under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
