The decision was taken by Health Minister Bhanu Pratap Sahi after he got the nod from Chief Minister Madhu Koda, the sources said.

In all, 600 contractual doctors have been agitating from May 26 demanding regularisation of their jobs.

The government had given them 48 hours to join duties or get sacked.

Over 200 doctors have reported to duty after the deadline was over, the sources said.

Asked about the fate of other agitating doctors, the sources said processing was on over the issue.
