Journalists hold rally for wage commission

JOURNALIST UNIONS today staged protest in front of the Raj Bhawan and presented a memorandum to Governor Dr Balram Jakhar, demanding formation of a wage commission for journalists.

JOURNALIST UNIONS today staged protest in front of the Raj Bhawan and presented a memorandum to Governor Dr Balram Jakhar, demanding formation of a wage commission for journalists.

According to a release, proposal to constituting a wage commission is being opposed by the Central Government which journalists resent.

A protest rally was organised from Patrakar Bhawan to Raj Bhawan. Members of the journalist unions like MP Working Journalist Union, MP UNI Employees Union, PTI Workers Union and Journalist Union of MP participated in the protest.
Similar protests were carried out in all the state capitals across the country and also in New Delhi.

After the rally Virendra Sinha, G K Lang, M S Hassan of PTI, Hari Singh of UNI, Ashish Dubey, Deepak Chouhan and MP Working Journalist Union of Madhya Pradesh general secretary Dinesh Joshi presented a memorandum to the Governor.
