The seer, visiting a police station for the first time, appeared before the Thousand Lights Police station in the city and affixed his thumb impression as normally Peetathipadhis (mutt heads) do not sign in any register or papers.

Heavy police presence was there at the station in view of the seer's visit.

While granting him conditional bail on February 10 in the Sankararaman murder case, the court had directed the seer to remain within city limits, and to report before the police station every Sunday at 10 am.

Vijayendra Saraswati, arrested on January 10, was released from the Central Prison on February 11 and since been staying at the Sri Kamakshiamman temple complex at Greenways Road in South Chennai.
