Justice Patil appointed acting NHRC chairperson

He takes over from Justice A S Anand whose tenure ended recently and would continue till the appointment of a new chairperson.

Justice Shivaraj V Patil has been appointed as the acting Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

Patil takes charge from Justice A S Anand who completed his tenure as the NHRC Chairperson recently.

As per a notification by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Patil has been authorised to act as the Chairperson of the Commission with effect from November one until the appointment of a new Chairperson.
