Kalam celebrates b'day with children

The president cuts the cake made by children of Spastic Society of India in Bangalore. Greet him on his 75th birthday

President APJ Abdul Kalam on Sunday celebrated his 75th birthday with spastic children in Bangalore.

Kalam, who arrived in Bangalore on Saturday night, cut the cake made by children of Spastic Society of India in the presence of Karnataka Governor TN Chaturvedi and Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.

Later, he flew in to a remote tribal village where he was greeted by the village head and children. They also celebrated his birthday and presented him with tribal musical instruments.

He will be attending an all-religion meet later in the day before flying to Guwahati.
