The Delhi Police is trying to find out the details of the “will” prepared by Madan Lal Mittal, the father-in-law of Arun Gupta (47), who was shot dead in Kalkaji two days ago. Police say that they want to find out the real beneficiary of the “will” and it’s connection with the murder.
A Delhi Police team on Wednesday visited the registrar’s office in Kapashera and Vikas Sadan to ascertain the authenticity of the documents of the property belonging to the Mittals. There are four beneficiaries to the will – Arun’s mother-in-law Kanta Mittal, Arun’s wife Sadhana, his two brother-in-laws-Sneh and Dinesh Mittal. “We want to find out, who would benefit after killing Arun as he was not the direct recipient of the property. The Mittal brothers said that they had some dispute, but it would be foolish of them to kill Arun as the direct blame would come on them. However, we have not given them a clean chit,” said a senior police officer.
Motorcycle stolen from Bulandshahr-
The motorcycle that the police found abandoned in a park near Bhairon Mandir, which could have been used by the killers had been stolen from Bulandshahr. Police said that an FIR has also been lodged in UP. A team has been sent to Aligarh and Bulandshahr for investigations. It has been kept at an undisclosed location in Kalkaji.
Friends say Arun was an “introvert” and a “careful spender”-
School friends of Arun Gupta, who was shot dead said he was an “introvert” and hardly spoke to anyone. “We have studied together and also had some common business interests. He was an introvert and generally kept to himself. He never spent a single penny without applying his mind. He was extremely cautious when it came to money,” said Rajeev Sharma, a close friend of Arun Gupta.
