Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath and BJP's Dalpat Singh Paraste filed their nomination on Thursday, the last day of filing papers for the election in 12 of the 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh to be held on May 5.

Kamal Nath, accompanied by state Congress president Subhash Yadav, took out a rally and filed his papers from his home turf Chhindwara constituency where he is facing BJP stalwart and Union Coal minister Prahlad Patel.
Paraste filed his nomination from Shahdol reserved constituency which he represented in the dissolved Lok Sabha by defeating Congress leader Ajit Jogi in the 1999 polls when Chhattisgarh was yet to be carved out of Madhya Pradesh.
Congress leader Rajesh Nandini Singh, a former MLA, filed her nomination from Shahdol besides Chote Lal Singh of Samajwadi Party, Anand Pratap Singh of Lok Janshakti, Mansingh of Aapna Dal and Theneswar Singh of Gondwana Ganatantra Party (GGP).
