Kamala Surayya gets with 'Muttathuvarky Award'

Writer Kamala Surayya was conferred with the 'Muttathuvarky Award', instituted by Muttathuvarky Foundation in memory of the late Malayalam writer Muttathu Varky.

The award was bestowed to Kamala Surayya for her overall contributions to Malayalam literature.

The award consisted of Rs 33,333, a memento and a citation.

Renowned writers OV Vijayan, M Mukundan, Vaikom Mohammed Basheer, MT Vasudevan Nair, Kakkanadan, Punathil Kunhabdulla, Anand, NV Mohammed, KJ Baby, Sethu, V Radhakrishnan and Sacaria are the previous winners of the award.
