Kamarlal Chaudhary Cricket to begin today

THE 26th Kamarlal Chaudhary memorial Cricket Tournament will be organised by Tiger Sports and Cultural Society at Bab-e-Aali Stadium from January 25.

THE 26th Kamarlal Chaudhary memorial Cricket Tournament will be organised by Tiger Sports and Cultural Society at Bab-e-Aali Stadium from January 25.

Talking to mediapersons, Amar Chaudhary of the organising committee said that this is the second consecutive year when white ball and coulour attire would be used in the tournament.

In all, 14 teams will participate in the tournament including four outstation teams. The outstation teams include Indore, Ujjain, Vidisha and Sehore. The winner and runners-up will receive Rs 11,000 and Rs 5,500 respectively. This is the only tournament of the capital in which players of SC and ST participated.

Winner of last year’s trophy Indore will be facing tough competition from the local teams. The tournament wiil be inaugurate d on January 25 at 10:30 am.

Various important dgnitaries of the City including Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) Chairman Dhruv Narayan Singh, Bhopal Divisional Cricket Association (BDCA) vice president Aruneshwar Singh Deo, Bhopal Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) president Sanjay Panedy, BDCA secretary Dr Shafquat Mohammad Khan and others will participate in the opening ceremony
