Kashmir gunfight: Third militant caught alive

The third Jaish-e-Mohammed militant, involved in the over 10-hour long gunfight with security forces in a village on the outskirts of Srinagar, has been caught alive, police said.

The third Jaish-e-Mohammed militant, involved in the over 10-hour long gunfight with security forces in a village on the outskirts of Srinagar on Thursday, has been caught alive, police said.

The guerrilla jumped out of the besieged house in Malura village where the three were holed up and started indiscriminate firing before taking shelter in an adjacent house. He was identified as a resident of the state.

The other two militants, both foreign nationals, were killed in the gunfight. Their bodies have been recovered from the demolished house.
