Katrina Kaif was recently a guest on the newly revamped Super Select show on MTV. Shoot over with VJ Nikhil Chinappa, she was game for a quick chat. So was she nervous? "Not really. Besides, Nikhil was there to guide me through it all. It was fun, doing something different," she says.

Katrina Kaif is looking forward to her film Humko Deewana Kar Gaye

After having walked the ramp for fashion designer Ritu Beri, at the just-concluded Fashion Week, Katrina is now looking forward to her next film Humko Deewana Kar Gaye with Akshay Kumar and Bipasha Basu. Does she feel any pressure since it's also her first solo release? "We all have worked hard as a team, so we all hope the film does well. It's a good feeling that it's my first solo film, but it would be great if the film does well. And I'm expecting it will," she says confidently, adding that, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye is a good film full of interesting moments and the storyline will connect with the audience."

Did Akshay Kumar's Casanova-image bother her? "It's unfair to brand someone on the basis of false rumours," she defends her co-star, adding, "Akshay is a very helpful, co-operative and professional actor. It was a wonderful experience working with him," choosing to ignore any talk of problems between her `good friend Salman Khan' and Akshay Kumar.

After Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Kaif will be seen again in Khan's next home-production Partner, also directed by David Dhavan. While Khan wooed and lost her in their first film, this one, Dhavan's version of Will Smith's hit Hitch, sees him give tips to Govinda on how to woo her, a rich heiress. "Govinda is a fantastic actor with great comic timing. It's a learning experience working from someone who's the best at his craft," comments Katrina.

For someone who made a debut with the forgettable Boom, Kaif has a good line-up of films in her kitty, with directors like Ram Gopal Varma and Abbas-Mastaan. She's already begun working for Anees Bazmee's comedy Welcome and Anil Sharma's boxing-centric Apne with the three Deols, Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby. Dismissing doubts about the scope for her role in Apne, she asserts, "There's enough scope for my character, who plays a significant part in the story. Besides, it also offers a lot of scope for learning from such senior actors."

Kaif is also "eagerly looking forward to Ram Gopal Varma's Sholay," in which she plays Jaya Bachchan's role of Radha. "Having seen Sholay and understanding the character I'm playing, it would be very interesting to play the same role in Ramu's interpretation of the classic film," she says on a parting note.
