Shiv Sena members said that common people were not responsible for any encroachment. They also blamed Nayab Tehsildar, Tehsildar and Lekhpal for allotting the land to the people. They said the KDA officials should be punished for allowing encroachment on the government land.
Meanwhile, members of the Dakshir Vikas Morcha also submitted a memorandum to KDA vice chairman, urging him to stop the demolition in Shyam Nagar, Gopal Nagar and Gujaiya areas.
They alleged that KDA official were mute spectators when societies were selling the land to the people.
Widow, old age pension camp
IN AN effort to avoid undue harassment to candidates seeking widow, old age and disability pensions, the district administration has decided to hold camps at ward level. These camps will start from September 23 and will continue till September 28.
One doctor, one Lekhpal and one Kanoongo will remain present in these camps.
The district administration appealed the people eligible for the pensions should open their account and inform the same account number to concern officials, so that their cheques related to their pension could be issued to concern banks.
Camp will be conducted between 8 am to 12 am as per the ward and the camp will also be held during the evening time but at different wards, therefore, the detailed information could be obtained from the Tehsil officials about the camps dates and timings.
