Kunal’s dad is now Katrina’s papa

Kat was thrilled by her on screen dad in the modern-day Mahabharata.

A birdy from Bandra has just perched on my window sill to tweet about Katrina Kaif’s dad. My ears immediately start twitching. Isn’t he a Kashmiri, I tweet back, pulling that nugget from deep inside my memory bank.

Tweet, tweet… My excitement is gone because birdy was not talking about Kat’s real daddy but her Rajneeti papa. From a mountain to a molehill, Oof!

Anyway seems Kat was maha thrilled by this pitashri in the modern-day Mahabharat. Kyun? Well, because, as she pointed out to director Prakash Jha, he was better looking than all her reel life daddies put together.

Incidentally, Ravi Kemmu who plays her conniving, industrialist papa in the film has a filmi connection too. He is actor Kunal Kemmu’s asli dad who’s acted in the serial Gul Gulshan Gulfam and directed TV shows like Dollar Bahu,Mausam and Safar.

Birdy tweets that he bonded well with his naqli daughter since he’s a Kashmiri and so is she even though she’s yet to visit this Paradise On Earth.
