Landmine detected near border in J&K

The anti-personal mine was detected by a civilian Tanater Singh who was grazing cattle near the border.

A landmine has been recovered from a field near the international border in Samba sector, officials said on Tuesday.

The anti-personal mine was detected by a civilian Tanater Singh who was grazing cattle near the border on Monday evening, the officials said adding that he informed the BSF.

Army was also simultaneously informed, they said adding the mine was defused on Tuesday morning.
