Lashker-e-Taiba terrorist surrenders in J&K

A hardcore terrorist and area commander of Pakistan-based outfit Lashker-e-Taiba on Sunday surrendered before the security forces at Mankote in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police said Muzamil Ahmed had crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) in 1998.

He laid down arms on his mother's persuasion, who went to PoK this year and requested him to surrender in order to join the social mainstream, sources added.

Ahmed, who surrendered without any arms or explosives, has been accused of severe killings and conducting blasts.
