“For the Qutub Minar magic, I am going to practise by bending the Ochterlony Monument (in Kolkata). People of my city will witness it before I make the Qutub Minar bow in Delhi,” PC Sorcar Jr told HT from Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh, where he is performing on Saturday evening, with tickets priced at Rs 1,500.

He announced that over the next two years, he would present some more

class acts: Bicycling on the Dal Lake in Srinagar, a Great Escape from the high-security Cellular Jail in Port Blair and Floating in the Air on a Steamroller with his magician daughter Maneka Sorcar.

The magician is excited about Bicycling on the Dal Lake. He says that till now magicians have only shown people walking on water, but he will go a step further by riding his bicycle on Kashmir’s famous lake.

Forty years into professional magic, the man who religiously practices his

Indrajal for 15 hours a day, Sorcar Jr has already completed the groundwork for his Great Escape from the Cellular Jail.

Finally, Sorcar will show the 20th Chamber of Illusion (Indrajal) to the people of Kolkata. He and Maneka would stand on a huge steamroller and appear to float in the air for several minutes.
