Home Minister P Chidambaram tabled the report at 12 noon.

The decision to table the report was taken following an emergency meeting of the Cabinet earlier in the day. The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members had stalled both the houses of the Parliament on Monday over the leak of the report to the media and had asked the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government to table the report into the demolition the Babri Masjid.
