Teen star Miley Cyrus says it was the first onscreen kiss with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth on the set of The Last Song that 'triggered' something between them.

Teen star Miley Cyrus says it was the first onscreen kiss with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth on the set of The Last Song that "triggered" something between them.

The 17-year-old singer-actress said that the embrace they shared for the cameras convinced her they should be together in real life, Daily Mirror online reported.

"That kiss made me realise this was going to be a lot of fun and it made me realise that one day you can feel bad and the next you can meet someone who is your soulmate... and that's really cool."

Miley says she doesn't have much in common with 20-year-old Liam, but she believes that in love it doesn't matter. "Love makes you feel beautiful and it makes you feel good about yourself. It's having someone complete you and hoping you learn more about yourself - someone who continues to inspire you and helps you be a better person. That's what Liam does for me," she said.
