Minister of State for Home Siddharam Mhetre told the Legislative Council on Wednesday that the state would verify the tapes of the matches and take action accordingly.

The issue was raised by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari in the Upper House who minced no words in critising the dance by cheerleaders at the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) matches.

He said players had already been sold for astronomical prices and now women are made to dance in skimpy clothes.
