Madonna in India to celebrate New Year
The pop icon, along with her husband, son and friends, spends New Year’s Eve at a private heritage resort at a village in Rajasthan, reports Suresh Vyas.
Pop icon Madonna, along with her husband, son and five friends, spent New Year’s Eve at a private heritage resort at a village 150 km from here. Soon after reaching Jodhpur from the Maldives by a chartered plane, Madonna drove to Dechu village. She is supposed to travel to Jaisalmer on Tuesday.
The plane carrying Madonna arrived at Jaipur airport on Monday afternoon, airport director Anju Agarwal said.
The pop star will be in Rajasthan for five to six days, during which she will also tour Jodhpur and Udaipur, sources said.
Rajasthan is popular among Western celebrities. Last year, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were in the desert to celebrate New Year’s Eve. In October, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made headlines when they arrived in Jodhpur.
