Mahapaur Trophy football tournament from today

BHOPAL MUNICIPAL Corporation (BMC) will organise the Mahapaur Trophy football tournament at Railway Ground from July 28. Opening match will be played between Koh-e-Fiza Sports and Ekta Club from 3 pm.

BHOPAL MUNICIPAL Corporation (BMC) will organise the Mahapaur Trophy football tournament at Railway Ground from July 28. Opening match will be played between Koh-e-Fiza Sports and Ekta Club from 3 pm.

According to the organising committee coordinator Mahira Salamuddin, the committee has given entry to eight leading teams of the City. Teams are divided in two groups. Group A comprises Madan Maharaj Club, BHEL Sports, Mahindra Club and Ajanta Club. Group B includes Police Boys, Koh-e-Fiza Sports, Ekta Club and Student Sports Club.

The tournament will be played on knockout basis. The winner of the tournament will be awarded with Rs 8,000 in cash along with the trophy. Individual prizes will be given to the best performers. Mayor Sunil Sood will inaugurate the tournament at 3 pm. Final match will be played on August 4.
