Maharashtra moves SC for ban on 'Deshdrohi'

Maharashtra Government today filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against a decision of the Bombay High Court allowing the screening of the film "Deshdrohi".

The state government said in its petition that the release of the film allegedly based on the recent violence and hate campaign against north Indians in the state may create a law and order problem which it may not be able to control.
