Mahashivratri celebrated with traditional fervour
MAHASHIVRATRI CELEBRATIONS took place in various parts of the city today, with prayers offered at different temples. State Industries Minister Babulal Gaur and Bhopal Mayor Sunil Sood offered prayers at Pashupatinath Temple of Lord Shiva in Govindpura. Ward Corporator Mahesh Malviya, INTUC leader RD Tripathi were also present, as innumerable devotees thronged the temple.

State Minister for Environment Jayant Mallayya and Mayor Sunil Sood participated in the chariot-pulling ritual of Lord Shiva at the famous Badwale Mahadev temple. The State Congress Committee Vice-President Ashok Jain ‘Bhabha’ and former BJP district president Baghwan Das Sabnani also took part in the event.
Member of Parliament, Kailash Joshi also offered prayers at the Siddheshwari Temple in Ward 48 along with Municipal Corporation Chairman Ramdayal Prajapati and corporators Asharam Sharma and Rameshwar Rai.
