Major Joginder Shekhawat of 24 Rashtriya Rifles died in the Kangan area of Ganderbal when a grenade he was handling went off, army spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel J.S. Brar told IANS.

“An enquiry has been ordered into the incident and the investigations are on," he said.
