Zee TV’s Antakshari will see three changes in its new season starting December 29 —the show finds a new host in stand-up comedian Sunil Pal, a new title tune and a new name for the show — Titan Antakshari.

Pal’s co-host for the show will be Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 contestant Himani Kapoor.

Zee is in a hurry to bring it on air before the show’s original creator Gajendrra Siingh beams his yetto-be named show on Star Plus.

After a series of hurried auditions, the shoots for the first episode began from December 20.

GN Shrisha is the director and Khalid is the scriptwriter/creative director. The three teams — Deewane, Mastane and Parwane — continue but with a twist. In keeping with the World Cup mood, the episodes will have a competitive edge.

The three popular bahus of Zee serials Prachi Desai, Rajshree Thakur and Divyanka — appear in the first episode as captains for each of the teams.

The marks earned by each team will be then be carried forward till the end of 10 preliminary episodes.

In each episode, the highest-scoring contestant will get the ‘Man/Woman of the match’.

The three captains will be allowed to choose their teams at the semi-final level, with a lot of twists to follow till the grand finale.
