Mamata admitted to nursing home, stable

Mamata Banerjee admitted to a city nursing home in the wee hours today following breathlessness and chest pain.

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee was admitted to a city nursing home in the wee hours on Thursday as she complained of breathlessness and chest pain.

Her condition was stated to be stable now, party general secretary Mukul Roy said.

Banerjee has attended a joint rally with Congress on Wednesday to protest the police lathicharge on a Trinamool dharna led by her on Monday night at Singur in Hooghly district to oppose the West Bengal government's acquisition of farmland for Tata Motors project.
