Additional sessions judge of fast track court number 2, C R Dash convicted the man for torching the house of a woman at Dakringir village in G Udayagiri and imposed a fine of Rs 2000.

The judge, however, acquitted 10 others accused of various charges of riots due to lack of evidence.

They had allegedly fled from their village after the incident.
